About Us

The Northumberland Advice Network is a Big Lottery funded project aiming to improve access to appropriate benefit advice for residents in Northumberland.

Specifically, it is aiming to:

  • help advice agencies work more effectively through partnership and sharing of work to make the most of existing resources and sustain effective delivery
  • increase access through a co-ordinated approach to signposting and referrals
  • build a strong, effective and inclusive network of benefit advice agencies in Northumberland
  • achieve increased cost effectiveness and efficiency
  • enhance the contribution made by benefit advice agencies to strategic objectives both locally and nationally in the areas of social inclusion, tackling poverty and other disadvantages
  • provide a collective strong voice for the benefit advice sector in Northumberland.

With a growing demand for advice about benefit issues, there is a need for VCS organisations to work together to provide services which ensure residents get the help they need, when they need it.

The Northumberland Advice Network is not just for organisations that provide advice on benefits issues; it is for all VCS organisations that provide advice, information and/or support to their particular client group.

To become a member of the Northumberland Advice Network and take advantage of closer working relations with other VCS organisations, FREE training, access to a searchable directory of services, networking opportunities and a whole host of invaluable information, why not complete our membership form?
